De Gier News

These last few weeks have been extremely busy and we’ve been working hard to keep everything in order and make sure that all the work is still done at the highest possible level. At this point the waiting list for a new De Gier guitar or bass is approximately a half year. For setups, customising and repairs we’re slowly shrinking the waiting list from up to four weeks to two-three depending on the amount of work! Which is a good thing because we’ve been asking a lot of patience of some of our faithful customers…

Having said that, I have a couple of pictures for you this week of some of the orders we’re working on right now… 

An Origin Sunburst, 5 string, is waiting for the final buffing stages before final assembly and setup.

Here’s an Elevation with a beautiful quilted maple top..! There’s someone really anxious of seeing this bass get finished..

And a close up of the beautiful flames on a body for a lefthanded Reflection in the rough. The diagonal lines you can see in the picture are from rough sanding the top so it’s nice and straight/leveled.

This week we have finished a couple of beautiful new basses, an Elevation and an Origin! They will soon go to Bass Connection in Hilversum. So if you’re in the neighbourhood, pass by Edwin’s shop and give them a try! Make sure to compare them with any other high-end bass in his shop and you’ll know what we stand for…

 
(They both have an Alder body, three-piece maple neck w/ Ebony fingerboard, Sadowsky pickups, Buckey Burl top for the Elevation – Rosewood fingerboard, Nordstrand pickups and beautiful Spalted Maple top on the Origin, they both have a Glockenklang preamp)

Also I can tell you that there are a number of exciting things ready to take place here at De Gier Guitars & Basses..! Stay tuned to this page the coming weeks as it will unfold in the (very) near future!

I have to start this week by making a BIG apology to all our faithful readers… It was so busy last week I simply didn’t have time to write a newsitem for you. 
But I will make it up to you with some interesting news and the latest news from the music scene! You’ve read it here first!

Not so long ago we made a beautiful six string bass guitar and someone fell in love with it, this persons name is Ronle Rouse. He plays in several bands, but we will highlight one for you: Nanda Akkerman – check out her YouTube page right here..! She also has a new EP out called “High Heels”…

Okay, okay, for all you reggae lovers.. He also did a tour with Richie Spice from Jamaica and will do a theatertour with the Rootsriders, Tribute 2 Bob Marley. This tour will start in september this year and will also support a good cause!
