We are back again, time to update you. Perhaps the most exciting thing to tell you is that Marcus Miller bought our jazzbass. We cannot show pictures (which we have) or video’s (which we have too) because of Marcus’ contract with Fender. All we can tell you is that he liked it so much that he bought it. He said he loved the way it barked and that it felt really good. He also said the playability was really nice. The funny part was that we basically just wanted his opinion about the bass, since it was a prototype, we had never expected he’d buy it. (There is even a dummy knob on the bass!) We expected to get some comments that could help us to further improve our design. When he said: “I want this bass” we figured we were done improving! 15

Just a quick note to let you know that our Jazzbass seems to be a big hit. Marcus Miller didn’t want to give it back…. (to be continued). BTW we are keeping you up to date on www.twitter.com/degierguitars. We just started, so be kind and become a follower 8

Today is the start of the NSJ fest in Rotterdam. We will be there with a booth again. Same place as last year, only the name has changed. It is now called Hudson market. We will bring guitars and basses, and among them our newest Authority and our prototype Jazzbass. Be sure to visit us and give us your opinion. About the jazzbass, we already recieved praise and input from top-players in NL. We compared it to a bunch of 60’s Fenders. Now we want input from you too. Here’s a link to our booth on the festival. click here. 2

Some customising jobs are cooler than others. But this one was just plain fun. We removed 2 pickups and installed smoke-bombs, that are activated by pulling thhe tone knob. We put the humbuckercovers back over the bombs, so that it looks like a normal guitar. Can you imagine doing your freaky solo and then pulling the tone…? Yeah baby. We checked it with mini-bombs, that produce a little bit of smoke, as you can see on the picture. The real bombs smoke for 45 seconds. Watch out for sprinklers! 16

Last weekend was exhausting! In a good way… At THJ we met many musicians and made a lot new friends. Here is just a short impression of some players who checked out our instruments. 8
