Transgression

With this guitar we did it. We just broke the rules that everyone respects. And kept on smiling. This guitar is innovation, it is exploring the unknown, it is rebellion. We twisted so many parameters that most people only look at it from a distance. Few are lucky to obtain it. In simple terms this is what we did. We moved the bridge. (massive explosion noises) All other changes are merely consequences of this basic move. What is the result of such bravery? It is easiest explained from looking at a string. When you pluck a string near its fixationpoint (the bridge), it sounds thin and has little sustain, and has poor harmonics. When you move the position of plucking slowly to the center of the string you will notice the sound gets fuller, warmer, richer and rings longer. The same principle applies to where the bridge is fixed on the moving part of the top. When placed near the rim (traditional) it sounds brighter and poorer then when you move the bridge to the center of the top. Get it? (deafening silence) Now you have some food for your imagination of how this guitar sounds like. It sounds fuller and richer than you have heard before. It sounds different also, you may have to get used at first. It is less bright than some other guitars, but the treblenotes have body on this guitar. Basses are full and low, and mids really bloom. By that we mean that after you hit the strings you have the sensation that there isn’t just decay, but the sound evolves. And there is volume.
