Progression

Imagine you’re an acoustic guitar. There are many happy occasions and highlights in your life, but one of the tragedies is that when you realise that as you get older you get a little out of shape. There is a belly developing beneath the bridge and cracks and wrinkles start showing here and there. Once the neck starts to deform, that’s when you realise nature got the best of you. You just wish there was such a thing as eternal youth. With the Progression we are getting close. We left behind the traditional ways of guitarmaking with pain and respect in our hearts, and bravely moved forward. We kept the familiar looks and shapes, but designed a totally new construction. The neck is bolt on with 4 bolts in the heelblock of the body. There is massive neckwood all the way to the last fret, and the neck is reinforced with carbonfibre. This gives us the ability to adjust the neck better and to have it that way for … well, forever we guess. No more swelling of the neck joint or rising fingerboard at the 14th fret, no more neck reset or fingerboard levelling. This neck is built to last. Does that affect the sound? Yes. It adds definition and consistency of tone. Does it affect playability? Yes. It plays great, you can achieve a very light setup. Does it affect maintenance? Yes. It greatly simplifies any future maintenance or repairs. Does it affect my wallet? Yes. Unless you don’t want to have one. The sound of this guitar is what you would expect of a medium sized body. Punchy, expressive, tight basses, strong mids and full trebles. Just the thing most of us want, right?
